We have licensed veterinary technicians on our team who are also anesthesiologists, so they know exactly how to make anesthesia as safe as possible for all our patients.

  • Pre-anesthetic blood work and an exam prior to surgery to assess your pet’s health
  • Having a 3-person team assigned to each surgery patient that includes a doctor, technician, and assistant (we do this for dentals as well).
  • State-of-the-art monitoring equipment for all vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, oxygen, and CO2.
  • The use of warming devices to prevent patient hypothermia
  • Administering IV fluids throughout the procedure to support blood pressure, hydration, etc.

What is Laparoscopic Surgery?

Laparoscopic surgery is less invasive than traditional surgery. It allows us to perform certain procedures by making small incisions and inserting a laparoscope to visualize the surgical area. This allows our surgeons to be more precise during surgery and avoid causing unneeded trauma to surrounding tissues.

With laparoscopic surgery, patients can expect less discomfort and faster healing post-op. We often perform spay surgeries using the laparoscope, but we can also perform other abdominal surgeries using this method. Call us today!
