Dr. Harpe was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina with a family who has deep roots in the state of Georgia.
Dr. Harpe, in high school, had his first job working in an animal hospital and fell in love with the profession of veterinary medicine. This career mixed his love for animals, his interest in science and problem solving, and desire to make a positive impact in the community.Dr. Harpe received his Bachelor's degree from North Carolina State University, with a minor in Animal Science. After graduating, he relocated to Georgia and attended The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Harpe has special interests in surgery, nutrition, dentistry, dermatology, and stem cell therapy solutions.Throughout his life, Dr. Harpe has always done his best to work to advance the human-animal bond and he looks forward to the opportunity to help your furry family member in their time of need. Whether it is the exciting time where you bring your puppy or kitten in for the first time all the way to when they are older and require specific attentive care, Dr. Harpe wants to be there for you through it all.When not at Pharr Road Animal Hospital Dr. Harpe enjoys playing soccer and ultimate Frisbee with friends. He tries to take advantage of any time he can outdoors, hiking and exploring a new trail. On weekends you can find him cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta United, or looking for the next travel experience to take in new locations and cultures. He resides in Atlanta with his wife Rachel, son Reynolds, and their sweet chocolate lab named Maddy.
